Famous Baseball Quotes

Welcome Bloggers,

There's nothing like the pressure of stepping up to the plate. So many scenarios pop in your head. Fast-ball or curve-ball, ball or strike, home-run or pop out. Don't let the preesure fool you. Step to the plate with the confidence and motivation you need to succeed. Trust me, you'll have nothing to worry about. But hey, who am I to coach you through the adrenaline of swinging the bat. Take it from these guys who I'm sure you look up to.

Here it is:

"Baseball is 50% from the neck up" - Ted Williams

“Well, there are three things that the average man thinks he can do better than anybody else. Build a fire, run a hotel and manage a baseball team.” -Rocky Bridges

Quote #5
"When I was a small boy in Kansas, a friend of mine and I went fishing. I told him I wanted to be a real Major League baseball player, a genuine professional like Honus Wagner. My friend said that he'd like to be President of the United States. Neither of us got our wish." - Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the USA

Quote #6

Quote #13
"I am not concerned with being liked or disliked. I am concerned with being respected -Jackie Robinson (Dodgers Infielder 1947 - 1956)

Remember to remain focused on the diamond. Keep your eye on the ball no matter where you are on the field. Infielders get those gloves down in the dirt and charge the ball. Outfielders remember to call the ball and your first step should be backward on fly balls. Pitchers and catchers must communicate with each other and believe in your teammates. Most importantly guys remember to have fun. Now get out there and PLAY BALL!!!!!!!

In conclusion I would like to give athletes who have upcoming contests a bit of advice. Never compare yourself to other athletes; always compare yourself to the athlete you were yesterday. Give your all in every aspect of training. It is counterproductive and a simple waste of time to just go through the motions. Work hard and I'll be here with more motivational quotes in your time of need. Anyone with some inspirational words of their own please feel free to post a comment.
